Frequently asked questions

WHY CHOOSE TELEHEALTH?

CONVENIENCE THAT FITS REAL LIFE

Appointments are delivered via secure video or phone, allowing you to access specialist care from home or work. There’s no commuting, parking, or long waiting rooms — just focused, uninterrupted time.

EVIDENCE-BASED, CLINICIAN-LED CARE

All consultations are provided by an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with advanced training in menopause, perimenopause, and metabolic health. Care is guided by current clinical guidelines and tailored to your individual symptoms, health history, and goals.

TIME TO BE HEARD

Initial consultations are intentionally longer, allowing time for a comprehensive assessment and meaningful discussion — not rushed, checklist-style appointments.

SECOND OPINIONS ARE WELCOME

Many patients seek telehealth after feeling dismissed or uncertain about previous advice. You don’t need a referral, and you’re welcome to attend for a second opinion, clarification, or review of existing treatment.

FLEXIBLE CONSULT OPTIONS

Where clinically appropriate, you may choose between video or phone consultations. Both offer the same standard of care — the choice is about what works best for you.

PRIVATE, COMFORTABLE CONSULTATIONS

Appointments are delivered in a confidential, one-on-one setting, allowing you to speak openly about your health without the pressures of a clinical waiting room.

GETTING READY FOR YOUR APPOINTMENT

The Patient Health History Intake Questionnaire and Consent forms must be completed before your appointment. Please complete these when booking online or via your appointment confirmation email. If you cannot find them, check your junk mail in case they have been redirected there.

What Happens Next?

During your appointment, your practitioner will discuss your health history and goals and develop a personalised treatment plan. Be sure to:

Complete your intake form before your consultation (if this is your initial consult)

Ensure your device can accept calls from private/unknown numbers.

Be ready at your scheduled appointment time to take the call in a private and quiet environment.

If your appointment is via video, please join the meeting at least 5 minutes prior to ensure that you are ready

Please note :  that while our practitioners make every effort to run on time, occasional delays may occur. In such cases, we kindly ask that you remain available to receive a call within 10 minutes of your scheduled appointment time. Please also be aware that your practitioner will call from an unknown number

MEDICARE ELIGIBILITY –
CHECK IF YOU QUALIFY FOR MEDICARE REBATES

From November 1st, 2025, Medicare rebates for telehealth are only available under specific conditions

Please note: Perimenopause, Menopause, and Sexual Function concerns fall under the Sexual/Reproductive Health exemption and are eligible for Medicare rebates

❤️ Sexual/Reproductive Health – BROAD Exemption

Medicare created an intentionally broad exemption for sensitive health issues. If weight is affecting your sexual function, fertility, or reproductive health, you likely qualify for Medicare rebates without a prior face-to-face visit.

Weight affecting fertility/sexual function – If weight is impacting your sex life, libido, or fertility, this likely qualifies.

⚠️ Disaster Zones

Currently 10 million people in Australia are in open disaster zones. We will check this properly during your appointment.
